Engineering & Design Capabilities

Within Futuramic’s engineering facilities the very latest in PC and UNIX based CAD systems are used to employ a wide variety of 3D and 2D design and processing software. These include: Catia, Unigraphics, AutoCad, Mechanical Desktop, I-DEAS and C.G.S. All software is maintained at the most current release.

To help better serve our customers Futuramic has the ability to receive product and locator data in virtually any format.

Futuramic may obtain product data and locator information direct from: the P.D.G.S. Data collector and/or the Sun Enterprise 3000 PIM/Metaphase server, the CAD Exchange (CCX), and the E.D.S. C.G.S. mailbox.

We also have the ability to receive any and all other data by 4mm or 8mm tape, floppy disk, modem, ftp, e-mail, cd-rom, QIC 150 and QIC 120 tape.

Futuramic Tool & Engineering company employs a wide area network to ensure the flexibility and speed of instant interaction between a variety of design, processing, manufacturing, inspection, and administrative computer systems. This system is serviced by five Windows NT servers and a Sun Enterprise 3000 PIM/Metaphase server. Total online storage capacity is over 300gb that is backed up daily. Futuramic also maintains a complete off line archive of all past jobs on tape, optical disk and compact disk.
